RECOVERY CONCEPTS AND SYSTEMS OF CARE

The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of mental health and substance use recovery. Awareness of these important skills and support tools will help provide support in a recovery-focused manner.

AUDIENCE: Human services professionals, Social workers, Behavioral health technicians, Mental health counselors

OBJECTIVES: 

  • Discern the elements of strength-based recovery and dimensions of wellness
  • Analyze the essential elements of Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care and how to formulate collaborative wellness goals
  • Recognize the importance of incorporating Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care into programming while considering individual choices, values, and definitions of success

COURSE FORMAT: This course is a recorded, asynchronous, self-paced, online interactive training, with no access time limit or due date to complete it once enrolled.  In addition to the record presentation, additional resources and handouts are made available inside the course.
