FIRE SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
This course provides information on fire safety and emergency procedures, which are of primary concern in the assisted living system. Having an emergency management plan reflects a commitment to provide an atmosphere where caring for others will run effectively.

AUDIENCE: Assisted Living Staff, House Managers, Administrators
OBJECTIVES:
- Consider fire concerns regarding assisted living facilities
- Interpret the elements that impact fire behavior
- Distinguish the systems and equipment used to detect and suppress fires
- Understand the components needed for effective emergency planning
- Identify fire safety strategies that can be used in the case of fire
COURSE FORMAT: This course is a recorded, asynchronous, self-paced, online interactive training, with no access time limit or due date to complete it once enrolled. In addition to the record presentation, additional resources and handouts are made available inside the course.
