DIETARY NEEDS
This class is designed to provide you with the knowledge to create menus that meet the dietary needs of the residents you support. It will ensure that the menu meets the residents' dietary needs and preferences, that food is prepared and stored safely and hygienically, and that food preparation areas are kept clean.

AUDIENCE: Assisted Living Staff, House Managers, Administrators
OBJECTIVES:
- Identify the elements that can challenge food safety
- Determine the role of sanitation and the facility's environmental regulations
- Distinguish food supply and storage needs in facilities
- Understand the importance of dietary guidelines, nutrition, and meal planning for residents
COURSE FORMAT: This course is a recorded, asynchronous, self-paced, online interactive training, with no access time limit or due date to complete it once enrolled. In addition to the record presentation, additional resources and handouts are made available inside the course.
