CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS
This course is designed to help you learn about the nature of challenging resident behaviors, how to prevent their escalation, therapeutic interventions, practical goals, and approaches to managing various behaviors, communication, and documentation.

OBJECTIVES:
- Define and recognize challenging behaviors displayed by residents in caregiving facilities
- Consider the role of pre-planning ot proactiely address challenging behavior development
- Understand how to intervene in a resident crisis situation effectively
- Determine the documentation and resident care needs following a challenging incident
COURSE FORMAT: This course is a recorded, asynchronous, self-paced, online interactive training, with no access time limit or due date to complete it once enrolled. In addition to the record presentation, additional resources and handouts are made available inside the course.
