CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND INTERVENTION: PROVIDING EFFECTIVE SUPPORT
This course provides the learner with a foundation in crisis management by identifying elements of crisis, analyzing the four stages and response approaches and communication, understanding effective conflict resolution techniques and tools to support clients before, during, and after a crisis, and understanding the relationship between compassion fatigue and rational detachment.

- Identify elements of crisis and crisis management
- Analyze the four stages of an individual in crisis and the responding approaches
- Distinguish the key elements of effective communication during a crisis
- Explore effective conflict resolution techniques and tools to support individuals before, during, and after a crisis
- Understand the relationships between compassion fatigue and rational detachment
